Rep. Lori Trahan stated on social media that she and her household had been focused by a bomb menace. Trahan, who represents the state’s third Congressional District, lives in Westford.
“It’s a very good time to say the plain: threats of violence and intimidation don’t have any place in our nation,” Trahan stated on X.
Westford police responded to her dwelling and labored with the U.S. Capital Police and the Massachusetts State Police. Her dwelling was cleared after the State Police bomb squad discovered nothing suspicious, The Boston Globe reported.
Westford Police Captain Michael Breault informed the Globe that the menace was emailed to the division round 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning. He didn’t focus on the specifics of the e-mail, however stated it was a menace towards Trahan.
