Metropolis councilors in Boston voted 12-1 Wednesday to make Boston a sanctuary metropolis for members of the LGBTQ+ neighborhood.
Councilor-at-Massive Julia Mejia and District 9 Councilor Liz Breadon known as on Boston to undertake the measure supporting transgender folks, pointing to what they see as dangerous rhetoric coming from President Donald Trump and the White Home.

Metropolis Councilor Ed Flynn was the one member of the physique to vote towards the measure.
