Former state trooper pleads responsible in 2021 deadly crash

A former state trooper pleaded responsible to a 2021 motorized vehicle murder that killed a 51-year-old Winthrop man, prosecutors stated.

Monson resident Kristopher Carr will serve a cut up sentence for the crash that killed Christopher Zike on October 29, 2021, Suffolk County District Legal professional Kevin Hayden’s workplace stated in a press launch.

Carr, an off-duty state trooper on the time of the crash, was driving underneath the affect along with his girlfriend within the passenger’s seat. After leaning over to kiss his girlfriend, Carr misplaced management of the automobile. Carr’s SUV swerved and struck the median, inflicting Zike’s bike to crash into the SUV, officers stated.
