A 36-year-old driver is going through a cost of unlicensed operation of a motorized vehicle after their automotive “by some means ended up” on the Inexperienced Line tracks close to Boston Faculty on Wednesday evening, in line with police.

MBTA Transit Police mentioned the 2013 Toyota stopped on the tracks close to the B Department terminus round 10:30 p.m. Police didn’t determine the motive force or say how their automotive got here to relaxation on the tracks.

A T spokesperson confirmed the automotive was blocking service out and in of Boston Faculty, and the company warned of 15-minute delays in a submit on X shortly after 11 p.m.

The automobile was finally towed away, and officers inspected the tracks and cleared the Inexperienced Line to renew service, Transit Police mentioned. Service started operating once more round 11:45 p.m., the T spokesperson mentioned.

Private automobiles straying onto the street-level Inexperienced Line tracks isn’t an unusual sight, a lot to riders’ chagrin. In two separate incidents out of Brookline final week, a rideshare driver mistakenly adopted his GPS onto the tracks close to Dean Highway and a girl allegedly drove drunk and speeded down the right-of-way in Coolidge Nook.
