PLAINVILLE, MASS. (WHDH) – A Plainville lady has been charged with arson following an early morning hearth Monday that displaced greater than 20 residents.

Heather MacKinnon, 61, is dealing with a number of fees after officers’ investigation indicated the fireplace had been “deliberately set” and that she was the accountable celebration.

Plainville hearth responded to Messenger Road at 5:15 Monday morning following report of a hearth with residents presumably trapped. The response drew crews from six extra cities.
